Medical Marketing in Australia

Healthcare-only marketing for Australian clinics, open data about Australian healthcare, and a report card built from 8,725 clinics across all eight states and territories.

This is the home of everything Medical Marketing does in Australia: the marketing work we do for Australian clinics, the data we publish about Australian healthcare, and the way to reach us from an Australian time zone. We are a healthcare-only agency. We do not work with restaurants, real estate or e-commerce, and we never have. Every campaign, website and piece of research we produce is for clinics, doctors and allied health practices.

What we do for Australian clinics

Australian private practice is competitive and tightly regulated. Patients research on Google, compare a handful of clinics in one sitting and read reviews closely, while AHPRA's advertising guidelines and the TGA's rules on therapeutic goods set clear limits on what a clinic may say. Our work sits inside those limits. We run Google Ads for clinics, medical SEO, websites and landing pages built to book patients, reputation and review management, and since 2026, visibility in AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, which we explain in our guide to AI search optimisation for medical practices.

The service page for Australian clinics, with how we work and what to expect, is here: medical marketing agency in Australia. We work remotely, in English, and we schedule calls at times that suit Australian business hours.

The Australian Clinic Report Card

In Spain we publish open studies built from public Google reviews of healthcare providers, the largest of them covering 29,310 private centres and 3.4 million reviews. We are now preparing the same kind of study for Australia. The working base is a set of 8,725 Australian clinics across 51 cities and all eight states and territories, in 97 categories from general dentistry and physiotherapy to psychology, cosmetic clinics, chiropractic and veterinary practices. The study will report how patients rate each type of clinic on Google, which specialties earn the most five-star ratings, how ratings differ between states and cities where the sample allows it, and how Australia compares with Spain on the same method.

Three rules govern it. Every figure is reproducible from the raw data with the scripts we publish. Only aggregates are reported: no clinic is named, and no review text is quoted. And nothing is extrapolated beyond the sample, which is a large sample, not a census, and is described as such. Publication is planned for October 2026. The data and the charts will be free to reuse under a Creative Commons BY licence, with a credit and a link.

Data for Australian journalists and associations

If you write about healthcare in Australia and a story needs a number we have not published, ask. We prepare cuts by specialty, state or city on request, at no cost, usually within a day. The same applies to professional associations that want a figure for their members. Until the Australian report is published, our Spanish studies are open and may be useful as a reference for method: La Nota de la Sanidad, El Paciente Extranjero and El Clic Perdido. Press mentions of our work are collected on our press page.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have an office in Australia?

No. We work remotely with clinics across Australia, in English, and we schedule calls in Australian business hours. Our team is spread across several countries and time zones, which is why an Australian clinic can get an answer the same day.

What is the Australian Clinic Report Card?

A study of how patients rate Australian clinics on Google, built from the public ratings of 8,725 clinics in 51 cities and all eight states and territories, across 97 categories. It reports averages by specialty, the share of five-star clinics, differences between states and cities where the sample allows, and a comparison with Spain on the same method. Publication is planned for October 2026.

Can I reuse the data or the charts?

Yes. Everything we publish is released under a Creative Commons BY licence: reuse it freely with a credit to Medical Marketing and a link to the study. If you need a cut we have not published, ask and we will prepare it at no cost.

Do you follow AHPRA's advertising guidelines?

Yes. Healthcare advertising in Australia is regulated by AHPRA and, for therapeutic goods, by the TGA. We do not promise clinical results, we do not use testimonials where they are not allowed, and we build campaigns and websites that stay inside those rules.

Who is behind the Australian work?

Manu Guerrero, founder of Medical Marketing, leads it. He is an engineer, the author of the agency's open studies on healthcare reviews and AI search, and the person who answers when you ask for data.
